Testimonials

We have great students. And their families have a lot to say! Here's what some of our families have to say about us and their experiences with Sutton Swim School.

My son started swimming at another swim school when he was 6 months old and we stayed there until the quality of instruction deteriorated. When Kyle turned 18 months we had no choice but to take a break from swim lessons. He became so fearful of the water and would become upset when we drove by the school. Enter Sutton Swim School.

We started lessons last July with Tony on Wednesday mornings. Kyle was extremely nervous on our first day. What a relief to enter such a welcoming and calm environment. Kyle and I arrived early on his first lesson and we sat in the viewing area so he could watch and see that everyone was safe once he was able to see that he was okay about getting back into the water.

Two weeks ago we made the transition from Mommy and Me swim classes to a regular swim class. Once again Kyle was nervous. He trusted Tony and knew that he would be safe. From the safety of the viewing area he was able to watch and see that everyone was safe. The staff on the pool deck helped him feel welcome. Tim instantly made him feel welcome and most importantly safe. It is a joy to watch him practice water safety skills. My husband and I both believe that swimming is not just a great sport but more importantly a life skill. Thank you to you and the staff at Sutton for helping my son become water safe. It is a calm, clean and welcoming environment for the students and families.

Both my sons take lessons here. They have learned swimming properly, and have thrived. My youngest was three when he started, and I never felt that the school pushed him. My oldest was six when he began, and he progressed very quickly. After some months he reached a point that was difficult for him, and I saw the owner herself (Paula Sutton) work with my son in the pool to help him overcome his issues. He knew that he was not being pushed, and that his teacher was right next to him if he needed help.

When my younger one reached a point that was difficult for him, his issues were discussed with three other instructors (because sometimes an instructor needs other perspectives). I appreciated that the staff worked together to help my son advance in a caring way.

The facility is clean and well maintained. I like that the waiting area is physically separated from the pool by a floor-to-ceiling glass window.

The teachers may look young, but I have found them all to be very professional and experienced.

My six year old did have to change in the men's locker room without me, but he was with other six and seven year olds so it was not an issue for me.

Prior to joining Sutton, my son was an average swimmer for his age and did not look forward to swim lessons. Now that we're with Sutton, he's become much more comfortable in the water and spends hours in our pool until we pull him out. He also looks forward to lessons and can't wait to jump into the pool. Sutton instructors have really shown him to be a better swimmer and he has lots of fun doing so.
